I am just curious with the new system how the textors are going to gain karma. The note at the bottom of the voting history is that a contest needs 20 entries for someone to gain karma and it is perhaps a once a year occurrence for a advanced text contest to get that many entries. Is this going to be taken into account?

In a contest with only six entries they may all be deserving of a 6, 7 or 8, or perhaps 5 and 8. How will the karma humping software deal with such a small sample?

Just asking.

We're going to grow so that every contest has 20 entries. :-)

In the meantime, we're going to watch for a little while, and use the results to tune the system for the smaller arenas.

Has there not been a rule once where gaining text karma has been decided by the length of the texts?

After all, voting on eight 1000 word stories takes thrice as long as voting on 50 FX pictures.

Funny, I was thinking last night about the Karma Power variation (increase or decrease), in HxH where by definition is of limited participation with a 8 players as it's maximum.
