Here are some tips on how to do text entries in the new Worth:
1) Entering: Paste your entry, just like before. The box labeled "Author's comments" is for author's comments, like before. Do not repeat your entry in the "caption" box. "Descriptive tags" are for keyword searching. (There is no longer a pop up box, so it should be easy now).
2) All of the old formatting tags (e.g., italic, bold) should work fine.
3) The word filter is different. Remember that profanity is not acceptable, even disguised profanity, unless the contest is age-restricted. No F bombs or even F b###s!
4) All special characters are supported, but they have to be entered in unicode. In general, this means do not paste in characters you can not type on your keyboard. Let's repeat that: If you can't type the character on your keyboard, you shouldn't just paste it into a text entry box, because you may end up with this: . Instead, you can incorporate a sequence of characters beginning with an ampersand and ending with a semicolon, and Worth will display the appropriate character.
If the characters between the ampersand and the semicolon are "#134", for example, you get a footnote dagger: †
You can get hearts: ♥
Musical notes: ♬
...and yes, even the em (long) dash: —
The most commonly used character codes are listed below, along with a link to all of them.
Commonly used special HTML codes:

When editing entries, don't forget to hit the "save" button on the text entry page (second tab) and the "save changes" on the first page.
Please continue to watch out for stray curly quotes, ems, and other non-keyboardable characters inserted by, say, MS word during your writing. You can use those characters; you just have to follow the instructions above.
